Raj Kumar is Senior Vice President, 200mm Business Unit & General Manager of Singapore for GLOBALFOUNDRIES. In this dual role, Kumar is responsible for the company's 200mm business, and is also the site lead for GLOBALFOUNDRIES' Singapore fabs and operations.

Kumar joined GLOBALFOUNDRIES in December 2009 through its integration with Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing. Kumar joined Chartered in 1991 and held numerous positions during his tenure. Most recently, he served as Vice President for Fab 2, Fab 3, Fab 3E, Fab 5, and Fab 7, overseeing more than 4,000 employees. He also sits on the Board of Silicon Manufacturing Partners (SMP), a joint venture fab with LSI.

Kumar has more than 21 years of semiconductor experience. An operations transformation specialist, Kumar has been actively involved in technology diversification, joint partnerships and ventures, and customer engagement strategies. Prior to joining Chartered, Kumar held various positions with National Semiconductor.

Kumar holds an Honors Degree in Operations Research from University of Science, Malaysia.
